To start off the 2023 College Football Bowl Season we have the 9-3 MAC powerhouse Ohio University taking on the 6-6 Georgia Southern.

This is a classic Vegas has the wrong team favored situation. Ohio went on a tear to end the season and has been running train on the rest of the MAC except 1 loss lately to Miami of Ohio. After starting the season with a 6-2 record, Georgia Southern finished the season on an 0-4 skid losing two of those games by 20. 

Ohio lost some offensive players to the transfer portal but they really win games through their staunch defense. Here is a fun fact for you:  Georgia Southern has yet to win a game where they didn’t get 400 yards of offense (they are turnover machines) and Ohio has yet to give up 400 yards this season. Now let’s break down some of my favorite prop picks for the 2023 Myrtle Beach Bowl. 

We start with Ohio University.  We have Senior QB Parker Navarro stepping in to take over the reins at QB. This once former UCF commit is a dual threat QB looking to have a standout game for his Bobcats. He has some serious ability to break out large runs, and hit a 52 yard touchdown run against Kent State back in October to top that highlight reel. I like his any time touchdown scorer prop at +130, and am also a fan of taking a look at his rushing yards prop to go over when the line releases later this week.

My other favorite prop for this game is Davis Brin to throw an interception at -160 as a nuclear mega whale sell the house prop. He has thrown 16 ints on the season and the Ohio defense has caught 12 picks themselves.  Let’s fade Georgia Southern’s main man as Georgia Southern’s form continues to go downhill heading into this bowl game.
