This season I have been very average (if not below average) at picking Saturday college football slates, but I have been electric at betting on the mid week CFB slates. Last week I went 10-0 finishing up 12.5 units. I’m not going to sit here and pretend I have some incredible data to back my picks because I don’t. I’m just your average Maction fan that loves the chaos of Tuesday night fall football.

This is all satirical and to add a bit of entertainment to the Happy Hour Team. There’s a good reason I’ve had to reset my Action Network picks every few months.*

Tuesday Night MACTION – College Football Betting for the rest of us

NIU @ CMU on October 31, 2023 – Spooky

To start off mid week maction we first have a battle of the 4-4 titans the Huskies and Chippewas. I want to remind everyone that NIU’s QB is named Rocky Lombardi. C’mon. Thats a top 5 football name of all time. NIU is 4-4 ATS this year but 3-1 in the last 4. This include a big straight up win against Ohio. CMU has been an abysmal 2-6 ATS this year including 4 straight ATS losses. They’re coming fresh off a loss to the terrible Ball state and barely beating the equally as bad Akron. This one seems obvious to me.

The pick: NIU -5 (1.5U); get in now before this moves closer to 7; NIU/BGSU ML parlay (2u)

Buffalo @ Toledo (October 31, 2023 College Football Game)

Next up we have the 3-5 Buffalos taking on the red hot 7-1 Toledo Rockets (defending MAC champs). Side note: hope you read my preseason preview since I picked Toledo O8 wins and it looks like they will likely get that to at least a push tomorrow night. Buffalo is on a spread covering hot streak of 4-1 in the last 5 (also have gone under 4 of the last 5). Toledo has gone 1-4 in the last 5 covering the spread but has been just smashing teams. They also just beat the other MAC front runners Miami of Ohio last week 21-17.

I do believe this game is won by Toledo but I think the spread is too big for how good Buffalo has been playing as of late.

The pick: Buffalo +15.5 (1u)

Wednesday Night College Football Betting Action in the MAC

Ball state @ BGSU (November 1, 2023 NCAAF)

First up we have the 2-6 Ball Staters against the 4-4 Bowling Greeners. BSU is 2-3 ATS in the last 5 and 1-4 SU. BGSU is 3-2 ATS and 3-2 SU in the last 5. BGSU has had impressive wins against Buffalo and Georgia Tech. I like this spot for them here Wednesday.

The pick: BGSU -5.5 (1u); NIU/BGSU ML parlay (2u)

Kent State @ Akron (11-01-2023 College Football Betting)

If you love watching horrible football here you go America. The 1-7 Kent State Golden Flashes take on the 1-7 Akron Zips. This is going to be a disgusting game. I’m predicting multiple safeties, dropped punts, fumbles, INTs etc to make for an exciting Wednesday night. Kent State is 0-5 ATS and SU in the last 5 games. Akron is 2-3 ATS and 0-5 SU. The total is horrifyingly low @ 38.5. I absolutely refuse to touch this spread but LOVE the over. I’m almost too excited about the over so take that pick with a grain of salt.

The pick: O38.5 (2u)
