Boston College Eagles

It was a bizarro world season for Jeff Hafley and the Eagles in 2022 where they racked up losses to Rutgers, VT, and UConn but pulled off wins against Louisville and NC State by a whopping total of 2 total points. The team finished the year 121st overall in total offense, dead last at 131st in rushing offense, and 52nd in passing offense. On top of no rushing attack, BC were also among the worst in the nation in giving up sacks. Phil Jurkovec played in 6 games and was banged up all year but with him out Emmett Morehead looked to be promising. On the defensive side of the ball they ranked 67th in total defense but has major issues up front giving up over 160 yards per game but definitely weren’t helped out by being on the field way too much from the lack of offense.

Looking ahead to this season they do rank 17th in the nation for returning production on offense and 13th in the nation for returning production on defense. Emmett Morehead will be starting at quarterback and the entire running back room is back but they must replace Zay Flowers who left the program ranking first all time in every receiving category. The defense should look better up front while the linebacker group features some really exciting linebackers and the secondary has reloaded through the transfer portal.

BC dodges Clemson this year with their conference schedule but isn’t done any favors elsewhere. They do get the other lesser teams in the ACC at home with VT and UVA. Miami and FSU will also be at home but they must go on the road against the middle of the pack facing Louisville, Syracuse, and Pitt away.

Clemson Tigers

While Clemson may have won double digit games for the 12th year in a row, the fan base still views it as wildly unsuccessful. You had a team that lost to in-state rival South Carolina for the first time since 2013, got blown out by Notre Dame, didn’t make the college football playoff, then got smoked by Tennessee in the Orange Bowl. The team ranked 48th in total offense but were 66th overall when you look at passing. Will Shipley was a bright spot at running back and the OL played well but the team is lacking at wide receiver Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei wasn’t able to meet the high standards and was ultimately benched against Notre Dame for Cade Klubnik.
Clemson was strong on defense finishing the season at 28th in total defense but once again when you look at passing they ranked 76th. This defense was loaded and saw four All-ACC players from the front seven get selected in the NFL Draft.

Clemson is entering 2023 ranking 73rd in offensive production returning and 23rd in defensive production returning. After the passing offense really struggled last year Dabo Swinney made a change at offensive coordinator by bringing Garrett Riley over from TCU to replace Brandon Streeter. Streeter has since found himself on the UGA staff as an analyst. With the Klubnik era beginning it was only fitting to try and improve the passing attack and Riley brings an air-raid style that should see immediate results. The Klubnik sample size was small last year but when you look at his and the athleticism he should have a great career.

Will Shipley is back at running back after being named 1st team All-ACC and four of the five starters on the offensive line return. Defense hasn’t seemed to be a problem in Clemson but they did lose those four guys. Tyler Davis has the opportunity to make an All-ACC team all four years he has been at Clemson if he performs well and they return two tackle machines at linebacker with Trotter Jr. and Carter. This team will definitely compete for a playoff spot but if they get their secondary and passing attack straight will compete to win the national championship.

The Tigers do have a tough schedule this year with FSU, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, UNC, and their yearly matchup with South Carolina. Lucky for them they will catch FSU and Notre Dame inside Death Valley (not sure which one is the real one) this year.

Duke Blue Devils

Year one for Mike Elko started off with a bang as the Duke Blue Devils went 9-4 including a win over UCF in the Memorial Bowl. Their coming out party was really on the road at Miami where they blew the Canes out 45-21. Even though they ended up with four losses, all of those were by a combined total of 16 points. The offense averaged just under 33 points behind breakout QB Riley Leonard and the defense improved from allowing 40 points per game in 2021 to only allowing 22 points per game in 2022.

The offense has a ton of returning production which ranks 9th in the nation. Their offense last year scored over 30 touchdowns on the ground and is returning both running backs. Add in three receivers returning and 3 offensive lineman coming back including OT Graham Barton who may be a day one draft pick and this offense seems ready to put up a ton of points again this year. Defensively they rank 73rd in the nation in returning production but Elko has already shown he can make immediate adjustment to help them improve. The entire defensive line is returning and had over 25 sacks as a group but they will have to replace some holes at linebacker and in the secondary.

The Blue Devils have the hardest schedule in the ACC this year drawing Clemson, Notre Dame, NC State, Florida State, Louisville, Wake Forest, UNC, and Pitt. Clemson will head to Durham week one so we will find a lot out about Duke very quickly.

Florida State Seminoles

The 2021 season left a stink in Florida State’s mouth that had not been felt in a very long time after Mike Norvell capped off a 5-7 season with a loss to in-state rival Florida. At a perennial ten win program like FSU, Norvell knew the expectations were high and with maybe the hottest seat in America the Seminoles rebounded in a big way. An early season win over LSU, a drubbing of Miami by 43 points, a win over UF, then a win over Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl left the Seminoles at 10-3 to finish the year. Still FSU was not able to top Clemson but the game was close just like their other two losses to NC State and Wake Forest.

2022 left Florida State even hungrier for more in 2023 as their returning production is ranked 2nd in the nation overall, 2nd on defense and 12th on offense. The offense was high powered in 2022 ranking 16th overall in total offense and return Jordan Travis at QB, Trey Benson at RB, Johnny Wilson at WR, and three of the OL. Not to mention they added on the OL through the portal through the transfer portal. Other additions through the transfer portal include Michigan State WR Keon Coleman who was an All-Big Ten selection and TE Jaheim Bell from South Carolina. Jordan Travis has a really good chance to take an offense that scored 36 points per game last season and make it even better. The defense is lead by Jared Verse at defensive end who decided to come back for another year despite being projected as a top ten pick in the NFL Draft. 8 other starters are back and the team brought in a couple of transfers to help in some holes, including cornerback Fentrell Cypress who was an All-ACC selection at UVA and considered one of the top players in the portal this year.

Their schedule is tough this year after grabbing LSU in Orlando to finish off a “home and home” neutral site series and they have to head to Clemson week 4. On top of that they draw many of the competitive teams in the ACC and will face their usual rivals in Miami and Florida. Norvell has the team lined up to make a push to be on top of the conference for the first time in almost a decade.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Jackets got off to a rough start under Geoff Collins with a 1-4 record before he was relieved of his duties. Step in alumnus Brent Key after that and the Jackets pulled off some upsets where they went 4-4 under Key and finished the season at 5-7. Jeff Sims is out after transferring to Nebraska to play under Matt Rhule and the defense took some steps forward but has to replace some guys that went onto the NFL.

Offense in 2023 looks to take some steps forward after finishing 115th nationally in total defense in 2022. They return 69% of their production on that side of the ball and former Texas A&M quarterback Haynes King will look to lead them to a better year. Some transfers are coming in from top P5 programs to help out at the skill position and the offensive line is returning four starters as well. The defense finished the year ranked 85th and returns 66% of their production but lost 3 All-ACC players in their front seven which they must try to replace. Key is stacking a group of coaches that have pride in the program which has lacked in recent years including bringing down 1992 national champion defensive line coach Marco Coleman from Michigan State. One bright spot could be this secondary who is lead by a strong safety group but they still have a ways to go.

The schedule isn’t making life any easier as they have to go on the road to Oxford to finish up a home and home against Ole Miss, play at Clemson, draw Louisville, UNC, Miami, and face the UGA Bulldogs as they always do in November.

Louisville Cardinals

Scott Satterfield’s squad finished the year off at 8-5 racking wins against tough opponents like NC State, Wake Forest, and Pitt. Unfortunately some of the losses were really bad like Clemson and Syracuse. The other games were close in a tough conference in 2022. Malik Cunningham is gone after four years as the starter and a lot of other positions need to be fielded as well, especially on a defensive unit that ranked in the top 25 in 2022.

With Satterfield off to Cincinnati the Cards have tapped Jeff Brohm to come down from Purdue and yes, he is bringing his younger brother Brian along with him to be the offensive coordinator. If you’re unaware the Brohm name is royalty in Louisville as both brothers combined to start for 6 seasons at quarterback in the 90s and 2000s. Jeff was also Brian’s QB coach and OC when he was there during some amazing years for the Cards. Unusual offense was a struggle for Louisville in 2022 but they still finished in the top 50 because of a talented running back room and return 61% of their production including the RB room. Almost all of the offensive line must be reloaded and they lost almost everything at WR but bring in QB Jack Plummer from Cal who had a 3,000 yard season in 2022 and is familiar with Brohm’s system after playing at Purdue for a couple of years. The defense is switching to a Nickel system and lost some key guys at every level but return 50% of their production and added some strong players in the transfer portal including CB Storm Duck.

It will be a quick adjustment period for Louisville but they dodge both FSU and Clemson this year making their schedule a little easier. Unfortunately, missing those two they end up getting Notre Dame on the schedule but that game will be in Louisville. They still draw some of the tougher opponents in the middle of the conference but get UK at home and will be on the road at NC State, Pitt, and Miami.

Miami Hurricanes

Safe to say year one under Mario Cristobal was majorly unsuccessful finishing the 2022 season 5-7 after hoping to improve off a 2021 7-5 season where quarterback Tyler Van Dyke was awarded ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year. If you’re a Canes fan look away now so you don’t have to be reminded of blowout losses to Middle Tennessee State, Duke, Clemson, FSU, and Pitt. They did play UNC and Texas A&M close but it took four overtimes to beat a bad UVA team by two points. Offense was a major issue under Josh Gattis ranking 85th overall and defense was mediocre at best under Kevin Steele so some changes have been made after just one year.

Out with the old coordinators and in with the new. The offense returns 62% of their production and will be coached by former Houston coordinator Shannon Dawson who will bring a fresh air-raid style offense to south Florida and the defense will be lead by former Marshall DC Lance Guidry. Defense is returning 77% of their production including a first team All-American in safety Kam Kinchens. They have to replace some guys at corner but he should be able to help anchor the defense and they’re experienced up front. Tyler Van Dyke finally seems to be fully healthy and this season will depend on what he can do behind an experienced offensive line and unproven players at WR.

The schedule is once again tough and they will play Texas A&M, Clemson, and Louisville at home but go on the road at UNC, NC State, and FSU. The team is loaded with talent everywhere so we will see if the new coaches can correct any problems they had last year.

North Carolina Tar Heels

UNC finished a real Jekyll and Hyde season at 9-5 in the fact that despite having one of the worst defenses in the nation they found an absolute stud in Drake Maye at QB who led them to the ACC Championship. UNC has had a couple of really good quarterbacks in past years with Trubisky and Howell but this one feels different. Maybe it’s the fact that he is a UNC legacy with his brother Luke playing on the 2017 national champion basketball team. Maye finished up his sophomore campaign with 5,000 total yards and 45 touchdowns and opens up 2023 with the second best Heisman odds behind incumbent Caleb Williams. Like I said with Jekyll and Hyde, while Maye was awesome almost 100% of the time he had some blunder games against Georgia Tech and NC State where he couldn’t will UNC to a victory. The team lost it’s fire towards the end of the season with those two leading into a blowout loss against Clemson in the ACC Championship and a close loss against Oregon in the Holiday Bowl.

Onto 2023, offensive coordinator Phil Longo has left to join Wisconsin and the team finds itself under Chip Lindsey who has been plenty of different spots, but most recently at UCF in 2022. In 2017 Lindsey was the offensive coordinator at Auburn where they finished with a top 25 offense with Jarrett Stidham totaling over 3,000 yards. The team will bring back 69% of it’s production on offense but both top wide receivers are gone, including top 5 all time Josh Downs. The offensive line is back with four starters and will look to improve after giving up 40 sacks last year. Defensively the team couldn’t have been much worse and are returning 68% of their production. The team finished dead last in getting to the quarterback and 86th in rushing yards allowed. They do return two starting linebackers in Cedric Gray and Power Echols but the true weaknesses are with the front four and in the secondary.

UNC’s out of conference schedule is tough to say the least as they open up with South Carolina in Charlotte as they look to take steps forward then face App State who they beat in a 63-61 game last year (yes, 63-61) and welcome Minnesota at home. They will dodge FSU in conference but still have to go on the road to Clemson, Pitt, and NC State. Duke, Syracuse, and Miami will all head to Chapel Hill this year.

NC State Wolfpack

Talk about the exact opposite problem that UNC had in 2022. Another Jekyll and Hyde situation, NC State just couldn’t find a way to put up points. The team finished 105th in total offense and 20th in total defense, never allowing more than 30 points in a single game. Dave Doeren’s squad won 8 games for the third year in a row, but had some really bad losses against Syracuse and Louisville along with some narrow losses to Clemson and BC. Devin Leary was supposed to compete for ACC Offensive Player of the Year and struggles with injuries all of 2022 so it’s no surprise that the offense really struggled.

With the offensive struggles and Devin Leary transferring to Kentucky it was time to make a change. Robert Anae is coming down after one year at Syracuse to call the plays and UVA QB Brennan Armstrong is reuniting with his former coach after a down 2022 in Charlottesville. Armstrong is a do it all quarterback who in 2021 at UVA had had over 4,500 total yards and 40 touchdowns so maybe a reunion with his old coordinator can get him back to form. The defense should be really strong once again in Raleigh as the Wolfpack return 6 starters and get some guys back from injury. The DL is very experienced, the LB group is bringing back some really veteran guys, and the secondary is lead by maybe the best CB duo in the country of Shyheim Battle and Aydan White.

Wolfpack fans in Raleigh should have a ton of fun this year. The schedule is tough but they do get to play Notre Dame, Louisville, Clemson, Miami, and UNC all at home. Their true road tests will be on the road in state at Duke and Wake Forest.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Year one for Marcus Freeman and company didn’t go quite as planned. The team opened the season with a tough task of playing Ohio State on the road and then dropped to Marshall in the dreaded “Fun Belt” week. Later down the line the team lost to a bad Stanford team as well as dropping to top rival USC in the Coliseum. It wasn’t all bad though, the Irish picked up a win on the road at UNC and blew the brakes off of Clemson at home. Looking back, the biggest issue was always the offense after finishing 60th in the nation in total offense and 98th overall in passing offense. Lack of quarterback was a problem all season with lack of playmakers, Tyler Buchner getting hurt, Drew Pyne having to take over and Michael Mayer being essentially the only receiving threat. Defensively the Irish were strong as usual. They held a high powered Ohio State team to 21 points and only gave up 30 to UNC, USC, and Navy.

Year two is going to be a much different program. Offensive coordinator Tommy Rees has left for the same position at Alabama and both quarterbacks have moved on to different programs. With Tommy Rees out, Gerad Parker will be the play caller and some unheard of things have been reported out of camp including the possibility of the team in four wide receiver sets. Former Wake Forest quarterback and ACC record holder Sam Hartman is in and is the best quarterback to be on a Notre Dame roster since Brady Quinn. The team is returning 65% of it’s production on offense and still has a strong offensive line including potential first rounder Joe Alt. Audric Estime seems primed for a breakout season at running back but the real question that remains is will we see any of these wideouts become established as the go-to guy? It will be hard to replace Michael Mayer but the tight end room seems to have some really high upside considering it is “Tight End U” after all. The defense returns 72% of it’s production loses a lot on the line including their all time sacks leader in Isaiah Foskey. Linebacker shouldn’t be an issue and the secondary will be lead by cornerback Benjamin Morrison who had six interceptions as a freshman, including two in the Clemson blowout.

2023 doesn’t look easy for the Irish but they will start the year off in the motherland against Navy in Aviva Stadium. Three top ten opponents will be tough to handle as they wrap up their home and home with Ohio State in South Bend, face USC at home, and travel to Clemson. Their “ACC schedule” isn’t too easy either as they must head to Raleigh, Durham, and Louisville while getting Pitt at home on Halloween weekend

Pittsburgh Panthers

2022 was a step back for Pitt after a NY6 appearance in 2021. The team did look really strong against Tennessee and Louisville but had a blunder loss to Georgia Tech and another blowout loss to UNC to finish 9-4. Overall the offense had a really strong rushing attack and you can always count on Pat Narduzzi to have a strong defense. Once again QB Kedon Slovis has moved onto a new school with BYU so we will see a new look in 2023.

Heading into 2023 the Panthers are returning roughly half of their production on offense and defense but still have some really key players coming back in addition to QB Phil Jurkovec returning to his hometown after stops in South Bend and Chestnut Hill. It’s another reuniting of quarterback and offensive coordinator as Jurkovec is back with former BC offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti. The team did lose Israel Abanikanda but Rodney Hammond looks to have a breakout year and replace the 20 rushing touchdowns they lost. A couple of WR’s, a starting TE, and three offensive lineman have it looking like Jurkovec can have a good 2023. On defense the team lost a ton including ACC Defensive Player of the Year Calijah Kancey but they return some linebackers as well as their entire cornerback room. If there’s one thing we see with Narduzzi it’s that he can figure out ways to get to the quarterback so expect the defensive line to reload quickly.

For Pitt’s non-conference schedule the Backyard Brawl is once again on the schedule and Pitt will welcome Cincinnati at home. They will have a tough road test against Notre Dame though. They will not play Clemson in 2023 and do welcome top contenders FSU and UNC in Acrisure Stadium.

Syracuse Orange

Syracuse finished 2022 at a 7-6 record after starting 6-0. The team did finish with a top 25 defense and an offense that finished at 76th overall. They racked up wins against tough opponents in Louisville, Purdue, and NC State but lost to Wake, Pitt, and had a close loss on the road at Clemson. Dino Babers is back for another year and is trying to propel this program forward but his seat is starting to get very hot.

Offense is returning 73% of it’s production but will have to replace workhorse running back Sean Tucker who finished 3rd all time in program history for yards. Garrett Shrader is back after a 3000 yard, 26 touchdown season at quarterback but the offense lost three offensive lineman as well. Tony White was calling the plays but has since taken the same job with Matt Rhule at Nebraska and the defense lost both cornerbacks to top 10 programs in the portal. They did reload in the secondary but lost many of their veteran players in the front seven.

While this teams schedule is very top heavy with Clemson, UNC, and FSU they will draw Virginia Tech, Boston College, and Georgia Tech. They’ll play Purdue again but this time on the road and will have opportunities against Wake Forest and Pitt at home.

UVA Cavaliers

Tony Elliott had a tough time in Charlottesville after leaving Clemson at the end of 2021. The team couldn’t seem to get anything going on offense and finished 3-7 after cancelling their final two games due to a tragic shooting. The defense did shine a little bit with a top 50 overall finish and finishing 13th overall in getting to the quarterback.

The Cavaliers are near the very bottom of the country in returning production on offense at 123rd and after losing Armstrong to NC State are expected to start Tony Muskett who is transferring from FCS school Monmouth. On top of that the team lost all four receivers and has to rebuild their offensive line to try and improve a rushing attack that totaled only 790 yards in 2022. Defense is returning 64% of their production but will have to replace both cornerbacks and linebackers. They’ll return some defensive lineman and safeties but the team has tough sledding ahead.

The team does dodge FSU and Clemson but plays the rest of the tough middle of the ACC and add Tennessee and Maryland in their out of conference schedule.

Virginia Tech Hokies

After leaving Penn State, new head coach Brent Pry faced a tough job with what Justin Fuente left him but I don’t think anyone knew just how tough it would be. The team had to convert tons of players to different positions and finished in the bottom 10 of total offense but did finish 56th in total defense. They opened up with a loss to G5 in-state opponent Old Dominion and couldn’t really land any good wins to finish the season 3-8.

The team is returning a lot on offense at 41st in the nation and defense at 59th in the nation. QB Grant Wells will try to keep his spot after former Baylor QB Kyron Drones has been brought in. They hit the transfer portal hard at the skill positions but the offensive line was the biggest issue in 2022 and remains the same. On defense the secondary is very strong and the defensive line is back but only averaged two sacks a game in 2022.

The Hokies will miss Clemson this year but face every other tough in conference opponent besides UNC. They will get BC and always have UVA but both games are on the road. Pry will try to rebound and forget last years loss to ODU before facing Purdue, Rutgers, and Marshall in the non-conference.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Dave Clausen capped off another winning season for the seventh consecutive year in 2022, finishing 8-5. The slow mesh in his tenure has been able to get the job done and the team finished 30th overall in total offense. Unfortunately, the defense didn’t hold up their end of the bargain and finished 93rd overall but there were some bright spots. Despite one bad loss to Louisville, Wake held their own against Clemson, UNC, NC State, and Duke and even went to Tallahassee and knocked off Florida State. Sam Hartman has left the program for Notre Dame and will go down as the conferences all time leader in passing touchdowns and second in yards behind only Phillip Rivers.

The Demon Deacons are returning the 117th ranked offense and must find a way to replace a legend like Hartman as well as top tier playmakers like AT Perry. Mitch Griffis is set to start and while he has only attempted 56 passes in his career Clausen’s system has proven to work time and time again. The defense will start two cornerbacks who have never taken a single snap, the safeties and linebackers are deep, and the edge positions will be a strength but the interior will need to improve.

Wake will draw both Clemson and Florida State this year, plus Notre Dame. They get Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech but miss out on BC and UVA. In the middle they have Pitt and NC State at home while travelling to NC State and Syracuse.

Betting Guide
Okay, now that we know what we know about the upcoming season it’s time to let you know what the locks are and what to avoid. We have a lot of plays here that you should be able to place but we understand the long term investment of a future is no fun for those of us that love to push some velocity. You might be able to find some better lines or odds on these elsewhere so make sure to shop around.

Don’t Touch It

Clemson O/U 10
Clemson enters the year as the odds on favorite to win the ACC and are implementing a new offense with a young quarterback. While the team is set to make a run for the college football playoffs, they have too many uncertain games on the schedule. There’s no reason to waste your money on the vig as they have both Notre Dame and FSU on the schedule as true toss ups plus possible upset opponents with Miami, NC State, South Carolina, and UNC. If you can find a 9.5 line we do tend to lean over.

Duke O/U 6.5
This high powered offense will have the opportunity to be in a shootout with anyone in the conference but has a much harder schedule than 2022. There’s only four guaranteed wins in our eyes and a ton of toss ups with NC State, Wake Forest, UNC, Pitt, and Louisville. Stay away from this.

FSU O/U 10
Just like Clemson it’s much of the same here for FSU. They do have 8 guaranteed wins for us but LSU and Clemson could make it a push by week 4 and you’ll be sweating it out. Throw in their in-state rivals of Florida and Miami being out for blood this team could easily lose two games. We still lean over if you can find a 9.5 line somewhere.

Notre Dame O/U 9
Too many questions are on the schedule right away with three top ten opponents and some strong middle of the pack ACC teams. They do get two of those top ten matchups at home but have to go on the road against NC State, Duke, and Louisville. Feels like a push. If you can find a 8.5 we do lean over on the 9.

Pitt O/U 7
Another team that lost a ton as far as production goes with a ton of toss-ups in the middle of their schedule. We do tend to lean over so if you can find a line a littler lower it can still play. The defense will reload fast but we’re not sure if Jurkovec can bolster this offense to new heights.

Season Plays

Boston College O/U 5.5 – Under 5.5 Wins (+100)
The Eagles just lost too much on offense and haven’t addressed their problems that they have in the trenches. When you add in a tough schedule against the middle ACC teams it’s just going to be very hard for them to become bowl eligible.

Georgia Tech O/U 4.5 – Under 4.5 Wins (-140)
Georgia Tech lost a ton on defense to the NFL and only gets two of the bottom four teams in the ACC while having to play on the road against the teams currently in a higher tier. Brent Key has his work cut out for him in year 1 of full time duties.

Louisville O/U 8 – Over 8 Wins (-110)
Right off the bat when you look at the schedule Louisville will be dodging Clemson and Florida State. On top of that they get all four of Georgia Tech, UVA, VT, and BC. They should be able to get a couple of wins against NC State, Pitt, Duke, Miami, and Kentucky. Hell, they may even upset Notre Dame at home.

Miami O/U 7.5 – Over 7.5 Wins (+120)
Miami has a weak non-conference schedule and will play UVA, GT, and BC. We don’t even consider Clemson a guaranteed loss this year for the Canes with their talent and should be able to pick some wins up against the rest of the middle tier.

UNC O/U 8.5 – Under 8.5 Wins (-130)
It’s hard to bet against a team when they have somebody like Drake Maye but this team did win six games by a touchdown or less last year with a weaker schedule. UNC didn’t take any steps forward on defense and lost a lot that surrounded Maye. They’ll go bowling but don’t expect them to get past the 8 win mark.

NC State O/U 6.5 – Over 6.5 Wins (-145)
The Wolfpack don’t have any guaranteed losses in our eyes along with four guaranteed wins. All of their toughest games are at home and they have a history of upsetting some big opponents. Look for this defense to stay strong and the offense to improve in 2023.

Syracuse O/U 6 – Over 6 Wins (+125)
The Orange have 6 wins on their schedule right off the bat with the non-conference and bottom four of the ACC. You’re already at a push and if they can just grab one out of Wake, Pitt, or Purdue you’re golden.

UVA O/U 3.5 – Under 3.5 Wins (-135)
Tony Elliot’s team hasn’t made any progress from last year, they’ve actually gone backwards. Losing Armstrong and starting an unproven QB along with this schedule has us hammering the under.

Virginia Tech O/U 5.5 – Under 5.5 Wins (-148) <– FanDuel
This one got taken off of DraftKings. VT doesn’t have a single for sure win this year. While they’re working their way back to being bowl eligible it’s not going to be this year.

Wake Forest O/U 6 – Under 6 Wins (-110)
While Clawson has turned this team into 7+ wins every year it’s going to be really hard to replace the production they had from Hartman and at the skill position. They probably won’t be in nearly as many shootouts as years past and have big problems in the secondary of a pass heavy league.
