The VERY congested Premier League fixture schedule motors on into this weekend and I’m back with a few plays I love:
Leeds-Fulham 9:00am ET, Sunday
My favorite pick of the weekend resides at Elland Road between Leeds and Fulham. Fulham has one of the leakiest defenses in the league, allowing a goal in 9 out of 10 matches so far. The clean sheet they have happened on Thursday with Aston Villa playing with 10 men for nearly an entire half. Along with that, the over has hit in 9/10 Fulham matches so far. While Leeds does not play the wide open attacking style like they used to under Bielsa, they will see this match at home as an opportunity to get all 3 points vs a newly promoted side.
This feels like the perfect opportunity to take the over and I will happily oblige with the O2.5 (-130).
Everton-Crystal Palace 10:00am ET, Saturday
Neither of these clubs have had sparkling campaigns so far with Everton getting 0 from their last 9 possible points while Palace have won 2 of their past 3. With that being said, Everton have played 3 of the better clubs in the league and now will have a reprieve returning to home against one of the poorest clubs in Palace away from Selhurst Park. Palace have the lowest xG in the league away along with only 3 points from a possible 12. This is still a dicey one but I’ll take a shot on Everton improving going forward with Anthony Gordon back in the fold again as well as Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Everton will feel this is a realistic chance to grab all 3 points for the first time in a while but a draw is lurking.
I’m playing it a bit safe with Everton Pk (-135).
