EPL Week 34 Picks

We enter the final month of the Premier League this weekend but there is still plenty of football to be played and lots to be decided. Manchester City captured a vital 3 points on Wednesday to move into pole position to win the title. At the opposite end of the table, there is an unusual number of clubs in play to be relegated. It should be quite an exciting finish to the campaign and I’ll be here releasing picks until the end!

Let’s get started:

Brighton-Wolves 10:00am ET, Saturday

As we near the end of the season for these two clubs, both have something to aspire to. Wolves could still finish in the top half of the table and will be able to solidify another season in the top flight with a run of good results here over the next few weeks. For Brighton, they have stumbled of late but still have a real shot of some sort of European football next season as they have two games in hand against several clubs above them. Despite that, Brighton have not looked themselves of late and this will be their 3rd fixture in 7 days. Meanwhile, Wolves have had a great string of results and have really come into their own in the 2nd half of the season under recently appointed manager Julen Lopetegui. The return of key players such as Ruben Neves was key in their 2-0 win during the week and the squad should only be looking onwards and upwards. Maybe Wolves do not sneak out a win at the AMEX Community Stadium but I do think they will keep it tight. Brighton’s recent wins have not consisted of many multi goal victories. They are usually by the tightest of margins, with only one coming by more than 1 goal and it was a 4-0 result in March, their first since mid January.

Wolves +1 is the play in this clash.

Liverpool-Tottenham 11:30am ET

Both of these clubs have had trying seasons to say the least. For the Reds, it consisted of most of the first half of the campaign while Spurs have really struggled in the back end of it. Liverpool come into this Top 6 clash winners of their past 3 and still have their eyes on a possible top 4 finish. The margins are super tight and it is quite unlikely but they have inspiration of late. Tottenham seem to have the complete opposite mindset as they are on their 4th manager of the season and look as if they are playing out the rest of the season in neutral. Liverpool will dominate possession at Anfield, which is perfect for Klopp’s set up. TAA and Co should rip up Tottenham’s porous backline and I expect a frantic attacking mindset from both squads when they are on the ball. Neither club have kept a clean sheet since mid February/early March so expect plenty of goals and an inspired Liverpool win.

Reds to win and O2.5 parlay is the play in this one.
